A lovely spot outside of central Oatley, nestled on quiet surrounding streets. The food was good overall, and reasonably priced. The turkey bacon however was not for me, and had a strange taste of hot dogs, which was a problem because it was featured prevalantly across the menu, and so was hard to avoid. Everything else was very enjoyable though. Coffee was good, with an attempt at latte art, but nothing special. Staff were incredibly friendly, I can't overstate that, they made every encounter very enjoyable. Unfortunately, the food took a really long time to come out. Additionally they didn't bring the kids food out early as most places do, which inevitably leads to hungry kids and disgruntled adults. The place was busy, and the food was clearly freshly made, but at least bring the kids stuff out first. The restaurant itself is lovely. There is seating inside, outside, and under a cover round the back (though this was closed when we visited). It does get busy so I'd recommend booking. Highchairs and kids options were available, and parking is available along the street right outside.

One of my favourite cafés, highly recommend!

I recently ordered takeaway from Hungry Spoon Café in Oatley and was genuinely impressed by the whole experience. The food was fresh, tasty, and made with attention to detail — exactly what I was hoping for in a casual brunch-style order. I went with the egg burger, pancakes, and bruschetta. The egg burger was simple but delicious, with soft bread and well-cooked fillings. The pancakes were light and fluffy, not overly sweet, and came with just the right amount of toppings and granish fruit. The bruschetta was fresh and vibrant, with good-quality rocket and fetta What really stood out to me beyond the food was the ease of the experience. The café is located just outside the main hustle of Oatley’s commercial strip, so it was easy to access without dealing with traffic or crowds. Parking was straightforward, which made pick-up fast and hassle-free. Even though I was just picking up takeaway, the staff were friendly, and my order was ready on time. The internal seating area looked clean and inviting, with a relaxed and comfortable atmosphere that I’d be happy to sit down in next time. All in all, a solid spot I’d happily return to.

We visited Hungry Spoon in Oatley for a special Mother’s Day breakfast and had a fantastic experience. The café was beautifully styled for the occasion with a lovely, festive atmosphere. The food was fresh, delicious, and beautifully presented — and the coffee was top notch. We even brought along our 1960 Dodge, which added a fun vintage touch and was a hit with the locals passing by. The staff were warm and welcoming, making the morning feel extra special. Highly recommend for great food, great service, and a great vibe!
